April 2003: DL wrote me to say:
"GLS has disbanded. The University of London pool they used for
years has been refurbished with a glass wall, so isn't suitable any
more. Shame, as it's a really good 33 yd pool. The Camberwell pool
changed management and their lifeguards objected to having to
supervise the sessions. Gymnos gets around the latter potential
problem by training its own team of lifeguards, and at the moment
seems to be going from strength to strength."
